Nature Painting Week | June 15 - 19

$400.00

This week will be filled with painting and drawing experiences using natural materials. We will explore different surfaces and paints in playful, hands-on ways. The children will draw with beeswax crayons on wood and enjoy watercolor painting, watching the colors flow and blend on the paper.

We will also include leaves in our artwork—pressing them into paint, printing their shapes, and discovering the beautiful patterns they leave behind. In the Seccorell technique, children use soft sticks made from natural pigments and then gently smudge the colors with their fingers. This rubbing and blending invites them to feel the movement of their hands and the pressure of their fingers, offering a rich sensory experience that supports fine motor development and body awareness. Through these playful explorations, the children strengthen their hands, awaken their senses, and express their creativity in ways that feel natural and age-appropriate. Most of all, they experience the joy of creating while connecting with the colors and gifts of nature.
